Boston Gets Jeff Green; OKC Thunder Land Kendrick Perkins, Nate Robinson and Nazr Mohammed

The Oklahoma City Thunder just got tougher inside, landing Kendrick Perkins. They also will get former dunk champ Nate Robinson. The Thunder are sending Jeff Green and some yet-unnamed players to Boston in exchange. The Thunder also traded Charlotte for Nazr Mohammed. More…

Perk tweaked his knee earlier this week against the Warriors, but its just a mild sprain. He’s only played in 12 games this season, having come back from injury last month. He’s averaging 7.3 ppg and 8.1 rpg (That’s tied for his career high). ( Read Jeff Green more... )

Jeff Green Traded To Celtics, Back Where He Started

Jeff Green has only been in the NBA for three and a half years, but he has made his presence known. In just a 289 games, all with the Seattle Sonics/Oklahoma City Thunder, Green has put up impressive numbers, averaging 14.2 points and 5.8 rebounds while shooting 44.3% for his career.

When he grows up: Jeff Green

→Comparable: David West. If Green’s shot develops from 3-point range, he’d be even better than West, who’s deadly from midrange. Like West, Green is an average rebounder at the power forward position and best when others set up shots for him.

→Best advice: If he’s going to stick around in Oklahoma City, Green could stand to sharpen his 3-point shot. He’s what’s known as a stretch 4 on the Thunder. His perimeter shooting is so sketchy that he’s struggled to maintain a consistent impact on offense. ( Read Jeff Green more... )
