'Jersey Shore' High Five: Ronnie Is Hurting ... In More Ways Than One

Plus: Snooki explains why she hates the ocean and Deena gives away her 'golden ticket.'

Blood, puke and more blood! It was a good week to be a bodily fluid. Check out the embedded video below to see my five favorite moments from this week's "Jersey Shore"!

5. Boozy Bleeding
What did we learn from Ronnie this week? Well, your butt can bleed from drinking too much. Seriously. I Googled it.

See? "Jersey Shore" is educational!

4. Snooki the Biologist
For approximately four hours, Snooki had a boyfriend named Jeff. Her short-lived beau wanted to take a dip in the ocean, but Snickers informed him: "I f---in' hate the ocean. Too much whale sperm. Everybody Google it, because that's why the water is salty. F---in' whale sperm."

I did Google it, and it's not true, Snooki. See? "Jersey Shore" isn't educational!

3. Pauly the Prankster
Once Snooki abruptly ditched Jeff for once being sort of half-engaged a hundred years ago, the dude wanted answers. Instead, he got Pauly D's awesome answering-machine impression.

Now I have to make my own call: "Oh, yes, president of MTV? I would like to request that Pauly D gets his own spin-off show please." ( Read Why is The Ocean Salty more... )

Jennifer Aniston’s New Signature Scent Now Available to Buy!

It’s been a long time coming, but Jennifer Aniston‘s first signature scent is finally making its American debut. “I wanted this fragrance to be a personal library of scent memories,” Aniston says in a release for the eponymous juice, which was originally called Lolavie. “For example, my love of night blooming jasmine has lasted a lifetime.

Growing up in California, I distinctly remember the scent of the Jasmine on summer evenings.” The fragrance also takes inspiration from the sea, which is evident in the campaign shot for the scent (below). “I consider the scent of the ocean to be one of life’s most uplifting sensual experiences,” she comments. Jersey Shore - Season 3, Episode 6

I'm going to list just my general observations and reactions instead of a play-by-play. The point is for you to read these blogposts and think "Totally, I totally thought the same thing!" and "Yes, that's the exact quote - awesome." Here we go.

* Sammi apologies to JWoww, The Situation uses his pajamas as a way to get a girl to come home with him and Nicole is passed out with the dogs; all is good in the world.
* Ronnie is vomiting, Sammi can't take it - and The Situation can't get it in with the pajama girl because of this drama.
* I can't explain it guys, but when I see these guys all fucked up - I also don't feel well. It's like a sympathy pain or something. I literally feel hungover when I watch this show sometimes.
* "Why is Ronnie bleeding out of his ass? I have no idea" - Sammi, on the way to take Ron to the doctor.
* I would really never let filming take place during a check up of my butthole. Just an FYI to the future network that produces my talk show.
* "I'm like, doc - c'mon...you can at least buy me dinner. I don't move that fast on the first date." - Ronnie ( Read Why is The Ocean Salty more... )

Sea Cucumber Delicacy A Solution For Ocean Preservation ?

It may look like an over-grown slug, but scientists at Newcastle University believe the sea cucumber could play a vital role in the fight to save our seas — and become an unusual addition to British gourmet food.

Not only is this salty Asian delicacy a rich source of nutrients, it is also an important part of the marine ecosystem. Much like worms working soil in a garden, sea cucumbers are responsible for cleaning up the sea bed — moving, consuming and mixing marine sediments.

Used widely in Chinese medicine and cuisine, sea cucumbers are also a rich source of glucosamine and chondroitin which are used in a range of common food supplements.

As a result, natural stocks of sea cucumbers are now seriously depleted around the world but at Newcastle University, UK, a team led by Professor Selina Stead is investigating how we might be able to use sea cucumbers to develop a more sustainable way of farming in the sea. Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir - Wine of the Week

The Sonoma Coast of California is a lovely place to visit. Cool, salty breezes come from the Pacific Ocean just a few miles away, and every restaurant has locally sourced food on its menu, from Dungeness crabs (currently in season) to Cowgirl Creamery cheeses.

The wines coming out of this cool-climate growing region -- which boasts a long, stable growing season -- are just as memorable. Those cool, coastal fogs introduce an earthy element to all of the region's wines, especially Pinot Noir. ( Read Why is The Ocean Salty more... )

Assault on salt hits Southern cuisine hard

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – New federal guidelines on sodium intake has Southerners feeling "salty." According to the Agricultural and Health & Human Services Departments, Americans need to drop their salt intake significantly in order to ward off health issues.

For people who are 51 or older, all African Americans and for anyone suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes or chronic kidney disease, the new recommended intake is about half a teaspoon per day.

For everyone else, a single teaspoon. ( Read Why is The Ocean Salty more... )
