Seussville Hands Out PR Cupcakes

My hero is, and always shall be the indefinable Dr. Seus. There, I admitted it. The venerable “smarty cat” turns 107 on Wednesday, if you can believe it. Seussville has already announced a plethora of activities aimed at celebrating our multi-colored, and faceted friend too. My only question is; “When are my fans going to create Sheepville? Okay, I cannot help but be jealous.

I know, you are picturing the sheep here looking up at those grapes and muttering; “They must be sour, or else I would have already devoured, but sour – sour – they are, it’s true.” Yeah, yeah, I am no Dr. Seuss cat – okay? Any who, 1o7 years ago this really smart guy (or wise guy) named Theodor Seuss Geisel, took to writing and creating cartoons for what came to be the Dr. Seuss children’s books we all know. Seussville: Getting Ready For Dr. Suess’ Birthday!

One of the most beloved child authors would be 107 this Wednesday. March 2nd is a great day for many people who were fans of the great Dr. Suess. Green eggs and ham anyone? The biggest celebration is of course going to be in Suessville.

Suessville is a website dedicated to… you guessed it Dr. Suess! There is plenty of fun to be had at the site but it is taking a little time to load since there are so many people going to the site. Seussville Gearing Up for Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

This Wednesday is the birthday of the great Dr. Seuss, and Seussville is gearing up for the red-letter day. The legendary children’s author would turn 107 if he were still around. And he would likely celebrate the occasion by composing a silly rhyme filled with the perfect blend of real words and made-up ones.

But it’s more than just his wacky rhymes that made Dr. Seuss the icon that he is. It’s also the appeal those rhymes have had upon generations and generations of young readers. There has never been anyone more influential for literary little ones than the great doctor. And there likely never will be. But why?

Seussville, Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, Cupcakes & More: How To Celebrate 107 Years!

Thanks to Dr. Seuss, also known as Theodor Seuss Geisel, thousands of children have been entertained and educated in a fun, humorous and exciting manner. 107 years ago, Geisel made a huge contribution to teaching our children to read, when he introduced “The Cat in the Hat.” He wrote this book, because he worried that boring primers weren’t giving children what they needed and decided to add a little twist by adding rhyming words and repetition.
