Memphis in May is actually a month long festival held in Memphis, Tennessee. The festival itself is split into four main events:

Usually about 100,000+ people attend the first two nights of the event, and even larger crowds attend for the big-name finales on Sunday night. ( Read Memphis in May more... )

The news outlet also obtained a copy of a Feb. 23, 2011 letter from Electrolux Project Director and Controller Jacob Burroughs, giving the state until May 1 to get the legislative approvals for the money and June 1 for making the funds available.
