Las Vegas Marathon - Cox, Gruca 1st-time winners at Las Vegas Marathon

Josh Cox won the Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon on Sunday and Dorota Gruca took the women's race on her 40th birthday.

Cox, of Mammoth Lakes, Calif., completed the 26.2-mile course in 2 hours, 25 minutes, 5 seconds to earn his first Las Vegas title. Steve Dekorker of Seattle was second in 2:31:19. ( Read More... )

While some parts of the country are covered in a blanket of snow others are hosting marathons. The Rock n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon is an annual race that started this morning at 7 AM. The runners could take part in either the marathon or half marathon that incorporates part on the Las Vegas strip in its course.
