Bucks County Community College, Robert G. Loughery is the 1st commissioner of the upper Bucks County since the 1970s. Bedminster businessman Robert G. Loughery will join the Bucks County Board of Commissioners next week, taking the seat as Lieutenant-Governor James Cawley vacated earlier this month.

Mike Fitzpatrick holds town meeting at Bucks County Community College

Congressman-elect Mike Fitzpatrick, R-8, addressed a full house in the Library Auditorium at Bucks County Community College on Monday — about 48 hours before he would take the oath of office in the U.S. House of Representatives chamber Wednesday.

"The key issue addressed tonight has to do with overspending in the federal government and bringing the federal deficit and national debt under control," Fitzpatrick said after the town hall meeting. "I think that was the underpinning of the election of Nov. 2. ( Readmore... )

Bucks County Commissioners approve $3.2M redevelopment grant for Delaware Valley College

In a unique business forum that included only two sitting members of the Board of Bucks County Commissioners – Chairman Charles H. Martin and Commissioner Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia, LCSW – the deliberating duo approved 25 contract resolutions for 14 county departments.

The commissioners also tabled an $18,800 annual contract with Electec, Inc. to provide voting machine support for the 2011 Primary and General Elections. That item will be addressed at a future meeting, likely with a newly appointed commissioner also weighing consideration. ( Readmore... )
