Gasparilla 2011: Parking, HART offers extra streetcar service, shuttle details
On January 20, 2011, Tampa Gov announced that those planning to attend the Gasparilla event may choose to skip the hassles of parking close to the parade route by using HART’s extra streetcar service on January 29, 2011. Also, the Gasparilla Extravaganza shuttle will provide transportation along two shuttle routes from 10:00 am-8:00 pm on January 22, 2011. ( Read Gasparilla 2011 more... )
Tampa Gasparilla Parade 2011: New ticket options
Tampa, FL - If you want prime seating, food and all day entertainment at either of the Tampa Gasparilla Parades for 2011 get ready to shell out some cash. There are new ticket options for the 2011 Gasparilla events.
For $79.44 adults can get a reserved ticket to Scully's Family Hospitality Experience at the McDonald's Children's Gasparilla Extravaganza. The area is near the show center just north of Howard Ave. on Bayshore Blvd. It includes a reserved bleacher seat and features a private, reserved area with pre-parade family entertainment, a picnic-style buffet lunch before the Children's Gasparilla parade. Insider’s point of view, 2011 Gasparilla Children’s Parade
The skies were crystal blue, but the winds were chilly. Children and parents were bundled up and lined the streets of Bayshore Blvd. eagerly awaiting the parade of pirates and their own little mini pirates as they invaded Tampa Bay. Pirates big and small braved the cold and entertained the crowd with their decorative floats blasting dance music (child-appropriate music), and rewarding the people along Bayshore with beads.
