BlackBerry's long-awaited Style 9670 smartphone will finally hit stores this Halloween, according to an announcement from RIM and Spring issued this morning. The Style, which will be available in either Steel Grey or Royal Purple, offers users what Spring VP of Product Development Fared Adib calls a "compact flip form factor," as well as a full QWERTY keyboard. As Engadget explains, the BlackBerry's first QWERTY-equipped flip smartphone runs the new BlackBerry OS 6, features a 5-megapixel camera, and boasts two high resolution, internal/external displays. The phone also features built-in GPS, Wi-Fi connectivity and an expandable memory slot capable of holding up to 32 GB of extra storage.
If you're interested in taking the Style 9670 out for a spin, you can pre-order one tomorrow from Sprint for $99, after a mail-in rebate. Only the Steel Grey model, however, is available for pre-order. BlackBerry's flashier customers, on the other hand, will have to wait until November to get their hands on the silky Royal Purple Style.
