Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police have arrested five people suspected of involvement in the Sept 29 deadly clash which left three people dead on Jalan Ampera, South Jakarta.

"Three of them were arrested in Yogyakarta and two in Jakarta," spokesman for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar said on Sunday.

The suspects arrested in Yogyakarta were identified by their initials as NH, N and F while those arrested in Jakarta were identified by their initials as S and AN, he said.

He said police did not seize anything from the suspects during the arrest.

A team of investigators would further develop their investigation to arrest other suspects in the clash, he said.

A fatal fray erupted last Wednesday in front of the South Jakarta District Court on Jl Ampera Raya, killing three and injuring 12. The injured included three police personnel who were hit by stray bullets.
