Celtics deal Perkins to Thunder
The Celtics have agreed to trade starting center Kendrick Perkins and backup point guard Nate Robinson to the Thunder for forward Jeff Green and center Nenad Krstic, SI.com has confirmed. The Boston Globe is reporting that Boston will also receive the Clippers' lottery-protected 2012 first-round pick from Oklahoma City.
In a second trade, the Celtics are sending backup center Semih Erden and seldom-used rookie Luke Harangody to Cleveland for a second-round pick.
The Thunder have made a second move, too, acquiring another 7-footer, Nazr Mohammed, from Charlotte. The Bobcats will receive Mo Peterson and D.J. White. ( Read Kendrick Perkins more... )

DENVER -- The Celtics, according to an NBA source, have traded popular workhorse center Kendrick Perkins to the Oklahoma City Thunder along with guard Nate Robinson for small forward Jeff Green and center Nenad Krstic.
The Globe first reported that Robinson would be traded while Yahoo! Sports reported the deal with Oklahoma City. The Globe also learned the Celtics will receive the Clippers' 2012 first-round pick in the deal. ( Read Kendrick Perkins more... )

DENVER — An agent close to the situation is saying the Celtics [team stats] are sending Kendrick Perkins [stats] to Oklahoma City in a deal for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic.
Another source says Nate Robinson is also part of the package.
And this was supposed to be a quiet trade deadline for the Celtics.
Never one to sit by idly, general manager Danny Ainge reportedly has pulled the trade trigger. The biggest move sends Perkins and Robinson to Oklahoma City for forward Green and center Krstic. Celtics vs. Warriors: Perkins Leaves With Left Knee Injury
The Celtics may have snapped their six-game losing streak at Golden State, but their 115-93 win came with a price. Center Kendrick Perkins, who returned last month from major surgery on his right knee, left the game at the 10:31 mark of the third quarter with a bruised left knee. Perkins sat on the Celts bench for the remainder of the game with the left knee wrapped in an ice pack, but was unable to return to action. In addition to acquiring Jeff Green and Nenad Kristic from the Thunder in the trade that sent Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to Oklahoma City, the Boston Celtics received a 2012 first-round pick from the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Boston Celtics will receive another asset in the trade that sends Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic. They will also receive a 2012 first-round pick from the Thunder that was initially acquired from the Clippers, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
The pick is Top-10 protected, and will be the lower pick from either the Clippers or the Minnesota Timberwolves in that draft. The Clippers initially acquired the pick in a 2005 trade for Sam Cassell. The Thunder acquired the pick from the Clippers last year in exchange for the No. 18 pick in the 2010 draft.
