Katy ISD schools closed Friday

Katy Independent School District is canceling school Friday.

The distrcict made the announcement before 2 p.m. Thursday based on information from the National Weather Service.

The make-up day will be Friday, Feb. 18, which is currently listed as a bad weather make-up day on the instructional calendar. ( Read Katy ISD more... )

Katy ISD Schools Operating As Usual, No Decision On Early Dismissal

All Katy ISD schools are operating on a normal schedule as of now, with no class interruptions expected for today.

The Katy ISD Emergency Management Team is monitoring current weather conditions, as well as the forecast arrival of the expected winter precipitation later today.

The emergency action team has a plan in place should the weather deteriorate throughout the day and will determine if any changes to school schedules, including early dismissal, are warranted. ( Read Katy ISD more... )

Katy ISD Schools back to Normal Schedule

All Katy ISD schools are operating on a regular schedule as of now, without any course interruptions anticipated for nowadays. The Katy ISD Emergency Management Crew is monitoring current weather conditions, along with the forecast arrival with the anticipated winter precipitation later on today.

If district officials ultimately determine an early dismissal is important, junior high campuses will dismiss at 12:35 p.m. and elementary campuses will dismiss at 1:40 p.m. ( Read Katy ISD more... )

Katy ISD

Katy ISD, Things will be different for the Memorial swimming and diving team as it seeks to reach the region 5 meet next weekend. The Mustangs will have to go through the extent of his habit of seeing the regional competition, but not at the district meet. When he takes to the pool Friday and Saturday at Katy High School Natatorium, Memorial will be on the six schools in Katy ISD and Strake Jesuit boys’ side, with heats on Friday and early swimming finals at 3 pm Saturday.
