East-West Shrine Game 2011: Schedule And NFL Draft Info

The 2011 East-West Shrine Game kicks off today at 1pm pacific in Orlando, Florida, making its debut on NFL Network. Drew K will have an open thread in a little bit, but in the meantime I thought we'd review some of what we know so far. Although the 49ers don't have any coaches present in Orlando, they have had some scouts on hand to check out the practices and keep an eye on the game. The East-West Shrine Game is at 4 p.m. ET today, and since it's being broadcast on the NFL Network, most of us probably won't get to watch it.

2011 East-West Shrine Game Open Thread

The 2011 East-West Shrine Game is set to kick off in a few hours here, getting the college all-star game and draft season started in earnest. Kickoff is scheduled for slightly less than five hours from now (3 PM Central time, with a pre-game show starting at 2:30), and will be televised on the NFL Network. . .I believe that I erroneously said the other day that it was going to be on ESPN2, and I apologize for that error. East- West Shrine Game Preview

While the College football season is officially over that doesn’t mean we don’t have the opportunity to watch some of our favorite players again. Today we get a chance to watch the East- West Shrine game where NFL Draft hopefuls are working to improve their draft stock. The game can be seen on the NFL Network starting at 3:30 eastern time. I for one love these games as it gives us an opportunity to get a look at prospects against different talent level.

It also asks players to do things out of their comfort level, especially the quarterbacks. For example this week quarterback Pat Devlin of Delaware had to take snaps from under center which is something he rarely did while in college. So if your a college football fan and NFL Draft enthusiast then set some time aside this weekend to watch this football game. ( Readmore... )

East West Shrine Game, The Kansas City Chiefs are in Orlando, Florida today for the annual East West Shrine game as a scout for players who can improve their team.
Middle-West Shrine game is the first of two college All-Star Game to come in the coming weeks.

Today’s game will not start major functions. The game is more east west for the guys at the rear end of the project and can be drafted free agents looking to get more exposure to scouts NFL. Most, if not all these guys will not receive invitations to the scouting combine so it’s their chance to impress. ( Readmore... )
