BAC 167 Strikemaster Crashes Into Hudson River

A BAC 167 Strikemaster plane crashed into the Hudson River near Kingston, NY at approximately 1:30pm EST on February 26, 2011. The vintage military jet was headed to Kingston-Ulster Airport from an airfield at Johnstown, Pa., when it went down.

The aircraft made a low pass over the airstrip before hitting the river. According to MSNBC, the pilot, identified as Michael Faraldi, 38, of Germantown, was suspended late in the evening. ( Read BAC 167 Strikemaster more... )
