Olympic Snowboarder Melo Imai: Call Girl?

FG has reported that the Japanese weekly magazine Shukan Bunshun will be carrying a story that alleges that Melo Imai, a snowboarder who represented Japan at the 2006 Turin Olympics, is currently working part-time as a prositute for a delivery health call girl service.


Melo Imai had become popular after the media attention she received as one of Japan’s best female snowborders (she also got a bit of attention for injuring her back in the Olympics). She has tried her hand at a singing career, but apparently she wanted to make more money than her endorsement contracts and music were bringing in. While Shukan Bunshun doesn’t directly print her name in the article preview available, it’s pretty clear from their description of her and th use of the initials M. I. that she is the subject of the report.
