'This could be the most exhilarating/humiliating 15secs of my life,’ the 30-year-old tweeted moments before her jump.
A lifeboat spokesman said: ‘It is thought she has a serious fracture above her elbow and a dislocated shoulder.
'It appears she entered the water badly.’
Eddie the Eagle also took part in the contest – which sees competitors create elaborate costumes and try to ‘fly’ the farthest from the West Sussex town’s pier.
Holly, who has appeared as a guest panellist on BBC shows Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Would I Lie To You and Mock The Week, used to be a CBBC presenter.
She has also written for BBC show The News Quiz and The Charlotte Church Show on Channel 4.
