Good news, everybody! Curtis Grant is a Buckeye.

Recently named a Parade All-American, Grant is one of the top high school prospects in the entire nation. Clearly he is a great get on signing day… particularly after such a horrible finale to the 2010 recruiting class.

He chose Ohio State over Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia. Once considered Florida’s to lose, the re-resignation of Urban Meyer allowed Ohio State to jump back into Grant’s recruitment… which obviously turned out to be a successful one for the Buckeyes. ( Read Curtis Grant more... )

Signing day has been full of big news and surprises for Buckeye Nation.

First, the Buckeyes received great news when highly touted recruit Curtis Grant chose Ohio State. Grant is one of the highest rated linebackers coming out of high school. During his news conference, he said he liked the way Ohio State’s coaching staff recruited him. It was different from all of the other schools and he felt the most love from them. 2011 National Signing Day Announcement Times Schedule: Curtis Grant, Cyrus Kouandjio, And More

It's 2011 national signing day, college football recruiting Christmas. And you wouldn't charge downstairs to open your presents without a detailed schedule that depends on a giant television network wrangling teenagers into public speaking events, would you?

ESPNU will be broadcasting all day long, planning to show at least eight commits live, three of which appear to be happening all at once. But four- and five-star players will be announcing all day long, beginning with Erique Florence at 8 a.m. ET. High School Football Star Curtis Grant Chooses Ohio State

Hermitage High School linebacker Curtis Grant announced he would attend Ohio State University.

Grant made the announcement during a press conference broadcast live on ESPNU Wednesday afternoon.

In an interview on ESPNU Grant said he felt the most comfortable at the Big 10 school.

The third wave of signings included some of the biggest names on the market. 5-star linebacker Curtis Grant, 5-star running back Isaiah Crowell, 5-star defensive end Jermauria Rasco and 4-star defensive tackle Gabe Wright all signed their letters of intent this afternoon.

Grant chose Ohio State over Florida, Crowell decided to stay in-state at Georgia, Rasco made it official at LSU and Wright joined the ever-growing class at Auburn.

Curtis Grant, Linebacker Grant Curtis has announced he will sign with Ohio State instead of Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. ESPN recruitment subsidy rates as No. 3 of the nation and the No. 46 linebacker prospect overall. Ohio State now has seven ESPNU 150 prospects, a record in the Big Ten. Grant appeared headed to Florida a few months ago, but the resignation Urban Meyer put Ohio State at the head of his list.
