Feingold Starts Progressives United PAC
Former Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) launched the Progressives United political action committee this week in response to the Citizens United Supreme Court decision and to support progressive candidates.
Feingold announced the formation of the PAC just more than a year after the high court struck down limits on corporate political ads. Progressives United
The deluded voters of Wisconsin put the GOP in power and kicked out the best advocate for workers rights in DC last November. But former Senator Russ Feingold isn't about to quietly retire into oblivion. Today Feingold announced the formation of Progressives United, a new PAC to act an a counterweight to the Kochtopus released unto the unsuspecting masses via the Citizens United decision at SCOTUS. Former Senator Feingold Creates Progressives United PAC

Feingold took my advice. He started a PAC called Progressives United, dedicated to blunting the power of corporations in our democracy. Here’s an excerpt from his email to supporters (unfortunately, the site’s pretty slow at the moment, so you might want to check back for that): ( Read Progressives United more... )
Feingold returns: ‘Progressives United’ PAC to fight corporate influence
Former Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) was defeated in 2010 amid a tea party wave that thumped Democrats' majority in Congress, but did not topple it completely. As one of the Senate's top progressive voices, many on the left saw the Wisconsin vote as a great loss to their cause.
But now, Feingold has returned -- and like so many other former politicos, he's leading a new political action committee. ( Read Progressives United more... )
Progressives United To Take On Citizens United
Looks like Wisconsin Democrat Russ Feingold has found his second act. The former Senator has started an organization to combat corporate influence in politics in a move he hopes will spark "a new progressive movement" to hold elected officials accountable to the people.
The organization, called Progressives United, hopes to build a grassroots movement to push back against the effects of the Citizens United decision. While the ultimate goal is reversal of the decision, Progressives United will also support progressive candidates at the local, state and national levels. ( Read Progressives United more... )
