UPDATE: Dallas-Fort Worth Airport reopens
DALLAS, Texas (WKOW) -- The Dallas-Fort Worth airport (DFW) reopened after it was closed for about an hour and a half due to ice.
The Federal Aviation Administration reported that DFW closed Tuesday at 7:00 a.m., hindering both Green Bay and Pittsburgh fans still traveling by air to nearby Arlington, Texas for the Super Bowl.
The three other airports serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area remained opened throughout the morning: Dallas Love Field (DAL), Fort Worth Meachem (FTW), and Fort Worth Alliance (AFW). ( Read DFW Airport more... )

DALLAS (AP) -- A winter storm has closed Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and left thousands of people without electricity during freezing, icy conditions.
Oncor reported more than 20,000 customers Tuesday lost electricity in Texas, with nearly half of the outages in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. DFW Airport: Flights re-open within next hours
DFW Airport is momentarily closed to airline flights this morning as the Airport’s road conduct crews delight runways and roadways which glossy over in the early morning hours. The Airport expects to open for flights within the next hour or two.
