Poudre School District outlines policy for weather closures

With this week’s cold temperatures, Poudre School District officials are reminding parents and students the district’s school closure information is posted at www.psdschools.org.

In the event of a weather-related school closure, officials will decide by 5:30 a.m. the day of the closure. On Monday afternoon, Thompson School District officials announced that district's schools will be closed Tuesday.

If schools are closed, parents and staff will be notified by email and the PSD voice messaging system. Information also will be posted on the district’s website. ( Read Poudre School District more... )

Poudre School District closes schools Tuesday

All Poudre School District campuses will be closed Tuesday because of expected sub-zero temperatures.

"Factors include the safety of students and staff related to the icy road conditions, students who would walk to school and/or would wait for buses in sub-zero temperatures, and due to concerns related to operation of buses in sub-zero temperatures," district spokeswoman Ellen Laubhan said.

Announcement: All Poudre School District schools will be CLOSED Tuesday, February 1 due to severe weather and road conditions.
