Milwaukee Blizzard Projected to Be 'Life Threatening'

The Milwaukee blizzard today is headlining the latest winter storm. Originally, the Milwaukee blizzard was playing second fiddle to the one scheduled to come in Chicago.
But close to 40 states will be affected by the growing storm front over the next day or two.

Milwaukee-area malls close early for blizzard

Shoppers might find it tough to find open stores tonight as a predicted blizzard roars into Milwaukee.

All area malls — Mayfair in Wauwatosa, Bayshore Town Center in Glendale, Southridge Mall in Greendale; Brookfield Square; and the Shops of Grand Avenue in Milwaukee — plan to close at 5 p.m. today.

Mayfair, Bayshore and Southridge will reopen again at noon Wednesday. Brookfield Square and Grand Avenue haven't announced decisions about opening times for Wednesday. Grand Avenue's Westown Market, scheduled for Wednesday, has been canceled, according to the mall's website. ( Read Milwaukee Blizzard more... )

Milwaukee blizzard Causes Snow Emergency

The Milwaukee blizzard has already resulted in a fair bit of snow bringing life to a standstill and the worst is far from over. Blizzard Watch Hoisted

MILWAUKEE -- Various advisories and watches are hoisted for much of southeast Wisconsin including Milwaukee and Waukesha counties Monday through Wednesday.

It is becoming more evident that a long duration and significant snowfall accumulation event is going to take shape over the next 3 days in parts of southeast Wisconsin.

The Milwaukee Art Museum is CLOSED Wednesday, February 2

The Milwaukee Art Museum will be CLOSED on Wednesday, February 2 due to blizzard conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Museum will re-open on Thursday, February 3 for Target Free First Thursday.
